I got a lot of compliments on my necklace this Monday at the Wests’ house.

Adia: “Your necklace is so pretty!”
Me: “Thank you. A friend gave it to me.”
Jedi: “The way it sparkles in the light … it looks like a pearl surrounded by rubies! It’s beautiful!”
Elijah: “And you look beautiful wearing it.”
Me: “Wow! I came to the right place tonight!”
Jedi: “And wearing the right necklace!”

Silas summed it up perfectly: “We don’t disappoint.”

Jedi was really on that night. Here are a few other gems.

Jedi was supposed to help clear the table, but he is very sensitive to leftover food on the plates. Kimberly was telling me about a hot dog on the floor at Costco.

“Don’t remind me!” said Jedi. “You’re making me wish I could barf my thoughts!”

And later when Jedi was proven wrong about whose turn it was to do a certain chore, he said, “All right, all right. I ate a crow.”
