1. This is a note to say that I deeply respect non-profit workers, international organizations, and even/especially the employees at the international non-profit of my previous employ. This is merely an exploration of my own feelings about being rooted in my city, and my understanding and belated acceptance of my own smallness. It is also not intended to say that the clients I now work with are small in any sense other than number of employees. I think the work they do is great, and I am proud to be a part of it.

2. This is a note to say that I’m writing a new series. It’s about work—namely, about the past year and a half, which has brought incredible change in the realm of work … and subsequently the other realms of my life as well.

I just want to share some bits of my story. It won’t be a lecture series. More a story-telling series. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
